Post a bounty
What's it worth?

Not sure what to offer?

The number one reason people hesitate to post is not knowing what a fair reward is. Tap a task to see the going local range — then post it in seconds.

$50
Post this

Ranges are typical local estimates to help you price a task. You set the final reward — the $5 minimum is the only floor.

Flat-fee promise

Free to post. You only pay the flat 3% fee when your task is completed — no subscription, no lead fees, no hourly meter running.

vs. hourly apps

Hourly apps meter the clock — the longer it takes, the more you pay. Bounty doesn't. You set the price, we add a flat 3%, and that's the whole number. Nobody's incentivized to run the clock.

$10 off your first bounty

Referred by a friend? Your first bounty gets $10 off. Already on Bounty — share your link from the ambassador panel and earn $10 toward your next one every time a friend posts.

Bounty is built for people who want a task done once, on their terms — not for ongoing relationships with a single service provider. If you need a recurring cleaner or a standing weekly appointment, a traditional service may fit you better.

How Bounty Works

Get it done in three steps

Post in minutes. A verified neighbor picks it up. You don't pay until the job is done — that's the whole thing.

01

Post your bounty

Describe what you need, set your reward, and post it in minutes. Furniture assembly, yard work, moving help, tutoring, repairs — almost any legitimate task works.

02

A verified neighbor claims it

Nearby, ID-verified people see your bounty and offer to take it on. You pick who, then message them directly in the app to nail down the details.

03

Pay only when it's done

Your payment is held securely from the moment you post. It releases to the hunter only after you confirm the task is complete — so everyone's protected.

The jobs Bounty gets done

What's on your list?

From a move-out scramble to the box you keep stepping over — post the job, set your reward, and a verified neighbor nearby takes it on.

Move out before the lease ends

The movers won't take the couch, and the boxes need to hit the curb by Friday. Post the haul, the breakdown, and the final clean as bounties — a neighbor handles each one, and the place is empty on time.

Turn the unit over this week

Landlords: post the clean, the paint touch-ups, and the junk clearance as separate bounties and have the unit showing-ready in days, not weeks. Set each reward, pick your hunters, pay only when it's done.

Hand off the thing you've walked past 400 times

The box in the hallway. The bike in the garage. The donation pile that never made it to the car. Post it, a neighbor picks it up, and it's finally gone — no scheduling a pickup window.

Post almost anything

Dog walking, furniture assembly, a grocery run, a repair, tutoring — if it's a legitimate task, chances are someone nearby can do it. You set the reward; the right neighbor comes to you.

Verified, rated neighbors who show up

Every user completes ID verification before they can post or claim, and both sides get rated after every task. No lead forms that spam your inbox, no calls from five strangers — one verified neighbor, and a reputation you can check.

Payment held until you say it's done

Powered by Stripe. Your money is held safely the moment you post and only releases once you confirm the job is complete. If something goes wrong, funds stay frozen while a real person reviews it — and you can get your money back. That's the Bounty Guarantee.

Who's behind Bounty

Built by people who needed it

Bounty started during a stretch when its founders kept watching capable people get stuck between jobs they couldn't take and work that clearly needed doing. The tools out there either niched you into one category or treated you like a lead to be sold.

Bounty is the on-ramp they wished existed: post almost any task, set your price, and a verified neighbor nearby picks it up. No boss, no middleman, no meter running.

Stories from the DMV beta

Real neighbors. Real bounties.

Our first real review is in — straight from the App Store. We're now collecting named stories from our DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland beta testers. If Bounty helped you move, turn a unit, or finally knock out a to-do list, we'd love to feature you here — name, neighborhood, and face.

“I was very satisfied with the task fulfilled and like the option that I don't have to pay for a job if it isn't completed correctly.”

Good questions

Before you post

What can I post a bounty for?

Almost any legitimate task — yard work, moving and hauling, furniture assembly, TV mounting, cleaning, tutoring, photography, repairs, deliveries. If it's legal and someone nearby can do it, post it. The $5 minimum is the only floor.

How much does Bounty cost?

It's free to post. When a task is completed, Bounty adds a flat 3% fee — no subscription, no lead fees, and no hourly meter. You set the reward; the 3% is the only thing added on top.

When does the hunter get paid?

Your payment is held in escrow by Stripe the moment you post. It's only released to the hunter after you confirm the task is complete — so no one's paid before the work is done to your satisfaction.

Is everyone on Bounty verified?

Yes. Every user completes ID verification (front and back of a government ID) before they can post or claim a bounty. Both posters and hunters are rated after every task, so reputations are visible at a glance.

Where is Bounty available?

Bounty is live now in Washington, DC and the surrounding DMV area (Northern Virginia and Maryland neighborhoods). We're expanding city by city as demand grows.

What if something goes wrong?

Funds stay frozen while both sides submit evidence and a real person reviews the dispute. If the task can't be completed, you can get your money back. Every step is logged — escrow, evidence, neutral review, and an appeal if needed.

When you get paid

After the job is done — not before

It lands once the work is confirmed done — not when someone signs up, not when they post. Same rule as everything on Bounty: money doesn't move until the work is.
